BATON ROUGE — Eddie Nunez, who has served as LSU’s Director of Game/Event Management and New Projects for the past two years, has been promoted to Assistant Athletics Director for Operations and Project Development Athletics Director Skip Bertman announced Wednesday.
Since his arrival in 2003, Nunez has directed all game management functions for Tiger sporting events, a role that has seen LSU host the Women’s NCAA Basketball First and Second Rounds, the Men’s and Women’s NCAA Track and Field Regional Championships and the first and second rounds of the NCAA Men’s Tennis Championships.
In addition, Nunez has directed the coordination, development and renovation of over $80 million dollars in athletic facility projects.
Along with serving as the Athletics Department Coordinator in the TAF construction of the West Side Addition to Tiger Stadium and the new Football Operations Center, Nunez has managed the new softball stadium project, renovations to the Pete Maravich Assembly Center and the seat replacement project in Tiger Stadium.
