BATON ROUGE — LSU coach Les Miles spent the lunch hour on Thursday telling stories and previewing this year’s football team to a group of 250 fans in Tiger Stadium.
The first “Lunch with Les Miles” was held on the 50-yard line in Tiger Stadium and attracted a sellout crowd. The event was hosted by the LSU Athletic Department and also featured director of athletics Skip Bertman, General Ron Richard from the Tiger Athletic Foundation and the Voice of the Tigers Jim Hawthorne.
Four members of the LSU football team – Andrew Whitworth, Rudy Niswanger, Kyle Williams and Skyler Green – were also there to meet fans.
“It’s always fun to get out and meet the fans and the people who support this program,” Miles told a group of reporters after the event. “This was a lot of fun and a wonderful event.”
Miles spent close to 45 minutes addressing the crowd and then spent another 30 minutes signing autographs and taking pictures.
