BATON ROUGE — The LSU track and field team landed 30 athletes on the SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll it was announced Thursday by Commissioner Mike Slive.
The total ties Tennessee for second-best among league track and field programs and trails only conference leader Florida (43).
The Lady Tigers led the way with 16 student-athletes receiving the honor.
The Tigers placed 14 on the list.
Honorees on the women’s team include Kate Accardo, Megan Akre, Julie Bertrand, Angel Boyd, Sarah Colosimo, Katie Denton, Jackie Dove, Megan Duet, Brittany Harris, Dianne Harrison, Megan Kliebert, Katie McKeever, Whitney Mitchell, Lynley Roche, Erin Vandivort and Calah Young.
Tigers recognized include Nick Accardo, Austin Benton, Matt Carroll, Brandon Conine, Jeffrey Fisher, Patrick Frischhertz, Jace Gohres, Matthew Guy, Drew Haro, Justin Landry, Alleyne Lett, James Presley, Kwami Roberts and Jimmy Wiggins.
The 2005 SEC Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2004 Summer, 2004 Fall and 2005 Spring semesters.
