BATON ROUGE — In another example of LSU student-athletes giving back and making a positive impression on youngsters, wide receiver/kick returner Skyler Green spent an hour with pre-k students at St. Aloysius School on Friday.

Green, who will be a senior for the Tigers next fall, read the children’s book “Hello Mike”, which follows Mike the Tiger around the LSU campus on a football game day.

After reading the book to the kids, Green answered questions from the class, which ranged from “what position do you play?” to “what number do you wear?” and “how fast are you?”

Green even managed to sing a portion of the LSU fight song for the class and he also led the children in a “Geaux Tigers” cheer.

“It’s important to give back and to see the impression you can have on children,” Green said. “To see their faces light up when an LSU football player walks in a classroom makes you feel good and it shows that kids really do look up to us.”
