BATON ROUGE — When the LSU softball team hosts Ole Miss this weekend, the Tigers will celebrate “Great Outdoors Weekend” with their fans.
LSU will face the Lady Rebels on Saturday in a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. before closing out the series with a single game on Sunday at noon. LSU is currently in a tie with Mississippi State for seventh place in the Southeastern Conference standings, one game behind South Carolina and a half game ahead of Ole Miss in ninth. The top eight teams in the league will advance to the SEC Tournament in May.
Fans who attend the LSU football spring game can use their ticket stub for free admission to the doubleheader on Saturday. Fans are encouraged to make the short walk from Tiger Stadium to Tiger Park for a pair of crucial Southeastern Conference games for the Tigers.
Promotions for those in attendance include a supervised inflatable rock climbing wall from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. In addition, hamster ball races will be conducted between the doubleheader games. Softball camouflaged shorts and caps will also be given away during the weekend.
