Neltner to Leave Men’s Basketball Team

BATON ROUGE — LSU men’s basketball forward Ross Neltner has advised Coach John Brady that he will be leaving the LSU basketball program.

“I appreciate what Ross has given to our program,” said Brady. “We wish him nothing but the best and will help him in anyway we can.”

Over the span of two seasons, Neltner played in 51 games for LSU, including all 30 in the 2004-05 season, averaging 13.5 minutes a game. Neltner this past year averaged 2.9 points and 3.1 rebounds per game. Neltner was one of four LSU players named to the Southeastern Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll this year.

“I really enjoyed the time I have spent here at LSU,” said Neltner. “Both on and off the court, Coach Brady and his staff have helped me develop into a better person and player. However, at this point in my career, I feel that it would be advantageous for me to pursue other opportunities.”
