BATON ROUGE — LSU sophomore Tina Harris was named the SEC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week it was announced Wednesday by the conference office.
Harris, a native of Ruston, La., guided the Lady Tigers to a first-place finish at the Bulldog Invitational this past weekend, winning the long jump and finishing second in the triple jump. Harris recorded a SEC and NCAA leading mark of 20-11 1/4 in claiming the long jump title. Her distance of 41-0 1/4 in the triple jump ranks third in the conference this season.
The LSU track and field team returns to action this weekend when it travels to Austin, Texas, for the 78th annual Texas Relays.
