BATON ROUGE — The LSU athletics department placed 37 student-athletes on the Southeastern Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll announced by the league office Thursday.
LSU’s 37 was third best in the league for this announcement period, topped only by Florida with 45 student-athletes and Kentucky with 38. In all 318 student-athletes from the 12 league schools were named to the list.
The 2004-05 SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2004 spring, summer and fall terms.
LSU had on the winter list 13 women’s swimmers, 11 gymnasts, seven men’s swimmers, four men’s basketball players and two from the women’s basketball team.
