BATON ROUGE — The LSU men’s tennis team fell three spots to No. 20 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association poll released Tuesday.
The Tigers (10-5, 0-4 SEC), who were ranked as high as ninth this season, maintained a spot in the top-20 despite losing four matches to open SEC play. They concluded a month-long stretch of road matches this past weekend that included competition against six teams listed in the top-25 this week.
They return home this weekend to break from conference action against South Florida on Thursday and Michigan on Sunday.
LSU was ranked sixth among SEC teams behind No. 5 Georgia, No. 6 Ole Miss, No. 7 Florida, No. 15 Tennessee and No. 19 Mississippi State. Kentucky was 25th.
Individual rankings were not released this week. LSU currently has two singles players and two doubles teams in the rankings. Ken Skupski is 10th in singles and Jason Hazley is 99th. Hazley and Danny Bryan are 49th in doubles and Skupski and Mark Growcott are sixth.
