BATON ROUGE — LSU earned a 10th seed in the National Team Indoor Championships when the draws were released this week. The No. 11-ranked Tigers (6-0) face eighth-ranked and eighth-seeded Duke (3-1) Thursday at 2 p.m. in the opening round.

LSU was one of 16 teams in the country selected to play in the tournament. The draw includes the top nine ranked teams in the latest ITA poll. Defending national champion Baylor is the first seed. They await LSU in the second round if the Tigers win Thursday.

The Tigers share the top half of the bracket with Southeastern Conference teams Kentucky and Georgia. Florida is in the bottom half. The SEC has more representatives than any other conference.

The Tigers are 3-3 all-time against Duke. They edged the Blue Devils, 4-3 in their last meeting in the 1999 NCAA Championship quarterfinals.

The tournament, which begins Thursday and lasts through the weekend, will be held in Chicago and is hosted by the University of Illinois.
