BATON ROUGE — The No. 11-ranked LSU men’s tennis team will play its final home match for over a month Saturday against Louisiana-Lafayette at 1 p.m. at the W.T. Robinson Tennis Stadium.
The No. 60-ranked Ragin’ Cajuns (1-3) will be the first ranked opponent of the year for the Tigers (6-0).
“ULL is a strong example of the expanded parity in college tennis,” said LSU head coach Jeff Brown. “Although they are ranked No. 60, they are capable on any given day of beating anyone. We have taken note of that. We will be ready.”
The Tigers have not lost a doubles match and have only lost two singles matches thus far this season.
Saturday’s contest will be LSU’s last tune-up for the National Team Indoor Championships next weekend in Chicago. There they will face at least three of the top teams in the country, beginning with No. 8 Duke on Wednesday.
After that, LSU continues its road stretch until March 17.
