BATON ROUGE — The No. 12-ranked LSU men’s tennis team will continue its homestand Saturday with a doubleheader against Southern Miss and Texas Southern beginning at noon in the W.T. Robinson Tennis Stadium.

The Tigers will put their 4-0 record on the line against Southern Miss, who head coach Jeff Brown called their “most challenging opponent to date.”

“Southern Miss is strong all the way through their lineup in singles and doubles,” Brown said. “We will have to play our best tennis.”

The Golden Eagles (1-0) feature No. 98-ranked David Canudas at No. 1 singles.

Saturday’s match will be the first meeting between Texas Southern and LSU.

“They have played in some tight matches against strong competition,” Brown said.

That match will begin at 5 p.m.
