BATON ROUGE — LSU women’s soccer player Artie Brown was named to the 2004 Soccer Buzz Magazine Central Region Third Team.
The Baton Rouge native was named All-SEC First Team and LSWA All-Louisiana First Team in 2004, while leading the team in both goals with 14 and points with 31. Brown was second in the Southeastern Conference in both goals and points.
She set the school record in both career goals and points this season vs. Arkansas with 40 goals and 92 points passing up Jackie Cooper.
Brown was also selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Second team selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). She was also the 2004 team Offensive MVP.
