BATON ROUGE — Two days after its 26-10 win over Alabama, LSU jumped three spots to No. 16 in the Bowl Championship Series standings, which were released on Monday by the National Football Foundation.
LSU, ranked No. 14 in the both the USA Today/ESPN Coaches poll and the Associated Press poll, has a BCS average of .4264.
Southern Cal remains No. 1 in the BCS with a .9808 average, followed by Oklahoma at No. 2 with a .9621 average and Auburn at No. 3 with a .9350 average. Other Southeastern Conference teams in the BCS standings include Georgia at No. 11 with a .5478 average and Tennessee at No. 17 with a .4238 average.
The BCS average is calculated by averaging the percent totals of the Associated Press, USA Today/ESPN Coaches poll and that of the computer polls.
