Gymnasts Help Sorority Raise Awareness for Breast Cancer

BATON ROUGE — LSU’s gymnastics team took a break from its busy academic and practice schedules this past weekend to lend a helping hand in the Baton Rouge community.

The Tigers joined forces with LSU’s Zeta Tau Alpha sorority to help promote breast cancer awareness. The two groups hosted a pancake breakfast Saturday morning at the ZTA house with all proceeds going to the fight against breast cancer.

In addition, the members of the team participated in a fundraiser for the University’s Red Cross Club. Tigers Terin Martinjak, Katherine Hilton and Annie Gagnon participated in the organization’s horse shoe contest in an effort to raise money for the club.
