BATON ROUGE — LSU moved up three spots to No. 17 in this week’s edition of the Bowl Championship Series Standings, which were released by the National Football Foundation on Monday.

LSU’s BCS average is .3235, which takes into account the Tigers’ No. 17 ranking in both the Associated Press poll as well as the USA Today/ESPN Coaches poll. LSU currently stands at 6-2 overall and 3-2 in league play heading into its second open date of the season.

Southern Cal continues to be the No. 1 ranked team in the BCS with a .9895 average, followed by Oklahoma (.9648), Auburn (.9238), California (.8050) and Wisconsin (.7579).

Other Southeastern Conference teams in the standings include Tennessee at No. 7 with a .7124 average, followed by Georgia at No. 8 with a .7109 average.
