BATON ROUGE — LSU’s men’s and women’s basketball teams will hold its annual Fan Day on Saturday, Oct. 30 from 1-3 p.m. in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
The event will be highlighted by giving one lucky student a chance to shoot for free in-state tuition.
In addition to contests for the fans, the Lady Tigers and Tigers will hold a two-ball competition, a slam dunk competition and a three-point shootout.
The two-ball competition will feature three teams with each team made up of one women’s and one men’s player. The team that scores the most points in 45 seconds will be declared the winner. They will have to alternate shots between the two team members.
The three-point competition will have four women’s players and four men’s players compete to see who the best long range shooter is. The top scoring female will compete against the top scoring male to declare a winner.
Members of the men’s team will show their dunking talents in the slam dunk competition, while the women’s team will judge the competition.
In addition to one lucky student winning a chance at free in-state tuition, two more lucky fans will be selected to shoot for great prizes.
The festivities will conclude with an autograph session with both teams.
Admission is free for all fans.
