BATON ROUGE — Those fans going to Athens for the LSU-Georgia game on Saturday can listen to Jim Hawthorne’s call of the contest on the LSU Sports Network in Sanford Stadium by tuning their radio to either 87.9 FM or 89.7 FM.
This season marks the first year in which the LSU Sports Network will travel with a portable transmitter, which allows Tiger fans within about a mile of the stadium the opportunity to hear the LSU radio call of the game during all road games.
LSU used the FM transmitter for the first time two weeks ago at Auburn.
“It worked really well at Auburn,” Hawthorne said. “We’re very pleased to be able to offer this service to our fans and from the response we’ve gotten, they like having the opportunity to listen to the LSU call of the game.”
In addition, the LSU-Georgia game can be heard around the world on the Internet at www.LSUsports.net as well as on Sirius Satellite Radio. Fans can listen to the LSU-Georgia game on channel 131 on Sirius Satellite Radio.
LSU’s remaining road games against Florida and Arkansas can be found at 106.1 FM in Gainesville and either 95.1 or 96.1 in Little Rock.
