BATON ROUGE — LSU football enters the cyber age on Saturday night when LSUsports.net, the official website of LSU Athletics, offers a live online pay-per-view broadcast of the Tigers’ game against Arkansas State in Tiger Stadium.

This unique opportunity to watch the entire game in live streaming video is available only to fans in the states of Louisiana and Arkansas. The pay-per-view Internet-only stream is slated to begin at 7 p.m. CDT at a cost of $14.95. Payment with VISA, MasterCard and American Express credit cards can be made online via secure transaction.

Due to Southeastern Conference rules, this streaming broadcast is only available to residents of Louisiana and Arkansas. No other live television broadcast of the LSU vs. Arkansas State game will be available.

The pay-per-view event will feature the full LSU Sports Network radio broadcast, featuring Jim Hawthorne, Doug Moreau and Jordy Hultberg, along with streaming video from Tiger Stadium’s “Tiger View” scoreboard monitors. The pregame audio broadcast will begin at approximately 5:30 p.m. CDT on Saturday, with live video starting just before kickoff. The 30-minute postgame radio broadcast will also be available.

Fans are advised that Tiger Stadium’s “Tiger View” scoreboards utilize three camera angles in its production of LSU football games. Networks such as CBS and ESPN use from 12 to 20 cameras in its production of college football games.

Fancast live streaming broadcasts are optimized for broadband Internet connections such as DSL, cable modem, satellite, or better. Dial-up Internet users or those whose download connection is less then 250 kbps will not be able to view this streaming video.
