BATON ROUGE — LSU will play host to Texas A&M in an NCAA Super Regional series beginning Saturday at Alex Box Stadium.

The best two-of-three series begins with Game 1 on Saturday, June 12 at 6 p.m., followed by Game 2 on Sunday, June 13 at 5 p.m., and Game 3 (if necessary) on Monday, June 14 at either 12 p.m., 3 p.m., or 6 p.m.

Game times were announced Monday afternoon on www.ncaasports.com.

ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN College Grand Slam are scheduled to provide live television coverage of all eight NCAA Super Regionals. Exact television listings will be available later in the week.

Over 30 hours of super regional television will be provided by ESPN and ESPN2. Consult local listings for specific games shown in each area of the country.

As many as 14 national broadcast windows could appear on ESPN and ESPN2 from. Up to ten super regional games also are available through ESPN’s College Grand Slam subscription package, which runs from Saturday to Monday.

College baseball fans should consult with DirecTV, Dish Network or their local cable provider for more information.

The following four best-of-three super regionals will be played Friday, June 11, Saturday, June 12, and Sunday, June 13 (if necessary). The four winners will open College World Series (CWS) play Friday, June 18.

The following four best-of-three super regionals will be played Saturday, June 12, Sunday, June 13, and Monday, June 14 (if necessary). The four winners will play their first Omaha games Saturday, June 19.

LSU baseball season ticket holders can place ticket orders for the Super Regional at Alex Box Stadium online at www.LSUsports.net.

Season ticket holders can also place orders in person at the LSU Ticket Office starting at 8 a.m. today (June 7). Season ticket holders will have until 5 p.m. on Wednesday to place their NCAA Super Regional ticket orders.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning at 8 a.m. on Thursday over the Internet at www.LSUsports.net, at the LSU Ticket Office or over the phone by calling (225) 578-2184 or (800) 960-8587.

Prices for Super Regional ticket booklets are $35 for chairback seats, $30 for seats in the grandstand, and $25 for bleacher seats. Parking passes in Home Run Village will be available for $20, while passes in the Alex Box Stadium lot are $15.

Payments for NCAA Super Regional tickets may be made by cash, check, VISA, MasterCard or American Express.

Fans that intend to arrive on campus with motorhomes or RV’s may not do so until after 5 p.m. on Friday. LSU is currently in summer school and the office of parking will not allow these vehicles into the lot until after 5 p.m.

LSU advanced to the Super Regional by capturing the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional title with consecutive victories over Army, Southern Mississippi and College of Charleston.

Texas A&M won the NCAA Houston Regional with a 7-5 victory over Rice in the championship game.

LSU will play host to its third Super Regional since the current NCAA Tournament format was instituted in 1999.

The Tigers are 4-1 in Super Regional games in Alex Box Stadium, posting series victories over UCLA (2-0) in 2000 and over Baylor (2-1) in 2003.

LSU is one of only three schools — the others are Miami (Fla.) and Florida State — to have reached a Super Regional in each of the six seasons under the current tournament format.
