CORAL GABLES, Fla. — LSU’s national champion track and field team returns to action Saturday at the Miami-hosted Gatorade Track and Field Classic.
Action from UM’s Cobb Stadium will begin at 11 a.m. (CDT) with the field events. Running events will follow at 4 p.m.
The Tigers will be challenged by 10 teams from throughout the country as Kansas State, Marquette, Maryland, South Florida and Tulane, among others, are all scheduled to compete.
LSU is coming off an impressive performance at last week’s Texas Relays. The men and women combined to win six individual event titles, including four relay crowns.
The Tiger and Lady Tiger 4×100-meter relays will be back in action Saturday as each seeks to extend their unbeaten streak in the short relay.
Following the Gatorade Track and Field Classic, LSU returns home to host the LSU Combined Events and the LSU Alumni Gold, April 16-17, at Bernie Moore Track Stadium.
