BATON ROUGE — College football coaching legend Vince Dooley, who led Georgia to six Southeastern Conference titles and one national championship, headlines the 2004 LSU Football Coaches Clinic, which runs from April 15-17 on the LSU campus.
LSU coach Nick Saban, who guided the Tigers to the 2003 national title, will speak at the clinic at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Dooley will address the coaches at 7 p.m. on Friday.
The clinic begins with registration at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 15 followed by a chalk talk session with the LSU coaching staff at 8 p.m. in the Lawton Room.
Registration resumes at 8 a.m. on Friday, April 16 in the Lawton Room followed by a series of presentations from members of the LSU coaching staff. Hal Mumme, the head coach at Southeastern Louisiana, will speak at 1:30 p.m. on Friday at the Maravich Center followed by various presentations by high school state champion coaches at 2:30 p.m.
Clinic participants will then watch the Tigers practice at 3:30 p.m.
The clinic resumes at 8 a.m. on Saturday morning and concludes that afternoon following LSU’s scrimmage in Tiger Stadium.
