TULSA, Okla. — The LSU women’s tennis team will bring its four-match win streak on the road Thursday when they break from conference play against 40th-ranked Tulsa.
The Lady Tigers (13-5, 5-5 SEC) have pulled up to 20th in the latest national poll following their recent success. With a win over Arkansas on Saturday, LSU can clinch the SEC Western Division title.
LSU’s 50th-ranked Jessica Ferguson has been on fire in the streak. She has won her last three singles matches and was named SEC Player of the Week after clinching LSU’s 4-3 win over Alabama on Sunday.
Tulsa (13-6) is led by 56th-ranked Daniela Muscolino and 81st-ranked Ilona Summers. Summers and Muscolino are ranked 30th in doubles.
LSU leads the all-time series over Tulsa, 2-1. Tulsa’s only win in the series came last year in Baton Rouge.
