AUSTIN, Texas — LSU’s national champion track and field team wrapped up day one of competition at the 77th-annual Texas Relays Wednesday. Andrew Huston, the Tigers lone competitor of the evening, finished eighth in section B of the men’s 1,500 meter run with a time of 3:59.08.
The Tigers and Lady Tigers will continue action from the Texas Relays Thursday. Sam Mwape and Jimmy Wiggins will run the men’s 5,000 meters, while Gabriel Caraway will compete in section B of the men’s pole vault.
For the Lady Tigers, Mallory McDonald and Britney Henry will be throwing in the hammer, and the Lady Tigers will be running the 4×800 for the first time this year.
