BATON ROUGE — Cox Sports Television will air a 30-minute special on the LSU women’s basketball team and its run to the Final Four.
Titled “LSU Lady Tigers: Center Stage in New Orleans”, the show will document the Lady Tigers’ run through the NCAA West Regional, which included a 71-55 upset win over top-seeded Texas as well the 62-60 victory over Georgia, a win that propelled the squad to its first Final Four berth.
The show will air across the state of Louisiana and parts of the South on Saturday, April 3 at 8 p.m. The show can be seen in the Baton Rouge area on cable ch. 37. Other airings for the special are at 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 4.
LSU will go after its first national title in women’s basketball on Sunday when they face Tennessee at 6 p.m. in the semifinals of the NCAA Tournament. The winner of Sunday’s game will play the Minnesota/Connecticut winner for the national title at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the New Orleans Arena.
