STARKVILLE, Miss. — The LSU women’s tennis team will try to take down their second SEC Western Division rival in a row Sunday when they finish their road trip at Mississippi State.
The Lady Tigers (10-6, 2-5) began the weekend with a 4-3 win over Ole Miss in Oxford. Miss. State (7-6, 2-3) is the first unranked team the Lady Tigers have faced since Feb. 17.
“They’ve struggled, but they’ve got more depth this year,” said LSU head coach Tony Minnis. “With the schedule we’ve got we have to be ready to play every time we step on the court.”
LSU’s Amanda Mang rejoined the lineup against Ole Miss after missing a month due to injury.
The Lady Tigers have now won three of their last four matches, allowing them to jump into the top-25 this week.
