BATON ROUGE — The 13th-ranked Tigers play host to their second SEC match of the weekend Sunday when they face No. 26 Mississippi State at 1 p.m.
The Tigers (10-6, 2-3) are looking to get back on track after losing Friday to fourth-ranked Ole Miss, 4-3.
The Bulldogs (7-6, 2-3) bring their talented lineup, led by 22nd-ranked Romain Ambert at No. 1 singles. Ambert has missed action in recent matches, including in MSU’s 5-2 loss to Arkansas on Friday.
“Mississippi State has been winning a lot of matches lately,” said LSU head coach Jeff Brown. “They’re a good team and they’re well-coached. It’s going to take a good effort from all three doubles and all six singles to get it done.”
LSU has won the last two meetings between the teams and leads the all-time series, 37-14.
