BATON ROUGE — Television coverage of the LSU track and field team’s unprecedented sweep of the men’s and women’s NCAA Indoor Championships is scheduled to air Wednesday on ESPN2 at 2:30 p.m. (CST).
LSU made NCAA history last weekend in Fayetteville, Ark., becoming the first program to ever win both the men’s and women’s indoor titles in the same year.
The 2004 indoor titles marked the third straight and 11th in program history for the Lady Tigers, while the Tigers’ crown was their second overall and the first since the 2001 season.
LSU has won 30 NCAA track and field titles in its storied history, a total that includes 27 under the direction of head coach Pat Henry.
