BATON ROUGE — LSU’s national champion football team will visit President Bush at the White House next Tuesday as the Tigers will make a one-day trip to Washington D.C.
LSU, winners of the BCS National Championship in 2003, will meet President Bush at the White House and will present the president with a national championship game jersey from the Tigers’ 21-14 win over Oklahoma in the Nokia Sugar Bowl.
In addition to the stop at the White House, the Tigers will visit with the Louisiana delegation at the nation’s capitol as well as touring several monuments in the mall area of Washington D.C.
