BATON ROUGE — The LSU men’s tennis team was ranked No.14 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association poll released Tuesday.
The Tigers (9-1, 1-1) moved up three spots from last week’s poll thanks to a 5-2 win over then-No. 13 Texas A&M in a break from SEC action. The Aggies fell to No. 21 in this week’s poll.
LSU is fourth among SEC teams, following No. 2 Ole Miss, No. 9 Florida and No. 13 Vanderbilt. Georgia, Kentucky and Arkansas are behind LSU but remained in the top 25.
LSU’s only loss this season came to Georgia on March 5. They hit the road for just the second time this season this weekend, traveling to play Vanderbilt and No. 18 Kentucky.
Individual rankings were not released this week. LSU freshman Ken Skupski, the reigning SEC Player of the Week, was ranked 58th in last week’s singles poll. Bryan Fisher and Jason Hazley were ranked 20th in doubles.
