BATON ROUGE — LSU’s 17th-ranked Lady Tigers basketball team will find outs the seeding, region and the other three teams coming to the Pete Maravich Center on Sunday at 4 p.m. CST when the NCAA Selection Committee will announce the Field of 64 for the 2004 Women’s Basketball Championships.
The Lady Tigers (23-7, 10-4 SEC) are ranked in the top 20 of both polls, 17th in the Associated Press and No. 16 in the ESPN/USA Today/WBCA poll, and are ninth in latest Ratings Percentage Index (RPI).
LSU does know it will be staying in Baton Rouge for the first two rounds of the tournament. The Pete Maravich Assembly Center is the host for the first- and second-rounds on Sunday, March 21 and Tuesday, March 23. Game times will be determined on Monday afternoon by the NCAA and ESPN.
Tickets for the first- and second-round game in Baton Rouge are available and can be purchased at the Lady Tigers Mall Ball event on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. CST at the Mall of Louisiana.
The LSU Ticket office will also be open on Sunday at 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. CST for fans to purchase tickets for the three games. Tickets for all three games, the two first-round games and the one second-round game, are $15.00 for adults and $10.00 for students and children.
