Lady Tigers Travel to No. 2 Georgia for Tennis Match

ATHENS, Ga. — The Lady Tigers will play the second-ranked team in the nation for the second time in eight days when they face Georgia on the road at 1 p.m. CST.

The Lady Bulldogs were tied for the No. 2 spot with Florida before the Lady Gators dropped to third in this week’s poll.

“Georgia is obviously a great team, but we’ve got to learn from our last couple of matches and maybe come in and steal a win,” said LSU head coach Tony Minnis.

LSU has lost its last two matches, dropping to 7-3 overall and 0-2 in the SEC.

The Lady Bulldogs are led by No. 1-ranked singles player Agata Cioroch.

For the Lady Tigers, sophomore Lauren Seaman has shone lately, losing just one singles match in the dual season and moving to the No. 1 doubles position with Rocio Fantilli after junior Amanda Mang became injured.

Lauren Seaman has been outstanding,” Minnis said. “She has really impressed me.”

The Lady Tigers will play the last match of five consecutive road contests Sunday when they take on Tennessee.
