BATON ROUGE — LSU’s 15th-ranked Lady Tigers basketball team hosts Ole Miss in the final regular season game in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on Thursday at 7 p.m. CST. Seniors Doneeka Hodges and Temeka Johnson will be honored prior to the game.

LSU (21-5, 9-3), who clinched a first-round bye in next week’s Southeastern Conference tournament with Sunday’s victory over Mississippi State, has won three of the last five games. Ole Miss (15-11, 6-6 SEC) are on a three-game skid, including a loss at home to Tennessee on Sunday.

Hodges and Johnson, both from New Orleans, are the lone seniors for the Lady Tigers. Hodges, who came to LSU from O.P. Walker High School in 2000, has played in every game of her career. She currently ranks 11th at LSU in career scoring and is second in career 3-point field goals made and attempted.

Johnson, who came to the Lady Tigers from Bonnabel High School, has played in 84 in two and a half seasons and holds every assist record in school history. She is the career assists leader, the single-season assists leader and has the most assists in a game. She is also 72 points away from reaching 1,000 career points.

In addition to the seniors, LSU is led by sophomore Seimone Augustus. The Baton Rouge native leads the team with 18.5 points per game and is 15 points away from her 1,000 career point.

Freshman Armintie Price leads Ole Miss. She is scoring 15.2 points and grabbing 9.2 rebounds per game.

This will be the 35th meeting between the two schools and the Lady Rebels lead the series 18-16, but LSU has won six straight, including a 83-67 victory in Oxford last season. The series is knotted up at eight wins each in games played in Baton Rouge.

Following the game, LSU will complete the regular season schedule on Sunday in Knoxville, Tenn., against the Lady Vols at 2 p.m. CST.
