BATON ROUGE — The LSU softball game against Nicholls State scheduled for Wednesday night at Tiger Park has been postponed due to weather and will be rescheduled for April 1 at 6:00 p.m.
The Tigers (12-3) moved up to No. 12 in the most recent NFCA/USA Today Coaches poll released Wednesday and No. 13 in the ESPN/USA Softball poll released Tuesday.
The Tigers now travel to Columbus, Ga., for the NFCA Leadoff Classic. LSU will face some of the nation’s top softball competition as 13 of the top 25 teams in the country and four teams receiving votes for the top 25 will participate in the tournament.
The Tigers will face No. 3 California, in a rematch of a 5-1 loss to the Bears at the UNLV Softball Classic earlier this season, Florida Atlantic, which is receiving votes for the top 25, and Ohio State in pool play.
