AUSTIN, Texas — LSU overcame a large crowd and its toughest competition of the season Saturday to earn a 5-2 win against No. 20 Texas.

It was the first home loss for the Longhorns this season and only the fifth loss at Penick-Alison Stadium under head coach Michael Center since he began his tenure at Texas in 2000.
The 15th-ranked Tigers (6-0) won the doubles point thanks to an 8-6 clincher from 35th-ranked Bryan Fisher and Jason Hazley.
LSU’s Sebastian Rutka clinched the match with 4-6, 6-4 (8) win over Hubert Chodkiewicz. Jason Hazley, Peter Richman and Cory Ross added singles wins for the Tigers.
