BATON ROUGE — The LSU men’s basketball team, still unable to crack the AP and ESPN/USA Today coaches poll, was ranked for the second straight week in the Collegiate Basketball News/Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook Top 25 announced Tuesday.
The Tigers, 25th last week, moved to 19th in the poll of CBN and Blue Ribbon staff in consultation with the latest RPI rankings from RPI.com. This is the third time since the poll debuted in January that LSU has been ranked in the poll.
The Tigers, 16-4 and 6-3 in the SEC, play Saturday at Florida at 2 p.m. in the O’Connell Center in Gainesville. The LSU-Florida game will be televised regionally by JP Sports and broadcast on the LSU Sports Network. LSU returns home to play Auburn at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 18.
