BATON ROUGE — LSU head coach Sue Gunter, in her 22nd season with the Lady Tigers, will not be on the bench for today’s game against South Carolina at 2 p.m. in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, she and the staff decided after shoot around Sunday morning.
Gunter will rest at home and further recover from bronchitis and the viral infection that kept her away from four games in early January.
“This is just something I need to do to get better so I can be 100 percent,” Gunter said. “I need to be at full strength for myself and this team, but I have no doubt in what my staff and this team can do without me on the bench.”
