Lady Tigers Fall to No. 15 in Both Polls

BATON ROUGE — LSU’s Lady Tigers basketball team dropped to No. 15 in both the Associated Press and USA Today/ESPN/WBCA poll following Thursday come from behind victory at Arkansas and Sunday loss at then No. 17 Georgia, it was release on Tuesday.

LSU (16-3, 4-1 SEC) had its’ school record tying 15-game win streak snapped on Sunday by Georgia in the 80-74 loss and fell to a full game behind Tennessee for first-place in the Southeastern Conference standings. On Thursday, the Lady Tigers overcame a 16-point second half deficit to outlast Arkansas to win 73-65.

The Lady Tigers dropped from No. 12 in the AP poll and received 512 points, while they fell from No. 13 in the coaches poll with 395 points.

LSU is off until Sunday when they host South Carolina in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center at 2 p.m. in Southeastern Conference action.
