BATON ROUGE — LSU sophomore forward Paul Wolfert will be featured this week as the SEC Good Works Team Player of the Week on Jefferson-Pilot’s telecast of the Georgia at Kentucky and Mississippi State at LSU games Saturday.
The Burr Ridge, Ill., native is heavily involved in LSU’s CHAMPS program. He has helped serve food at a fire fighters benefit dinner, spoken to students at local elementary schools about the importance of studying in school and helped lead a delegation of basketball players on its annual Christmas visit to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital to visit children.
The SEC sponsors Good Works Teams for football, men and women’s basketball, men’s sports at-large and women’s sports-at large. Jefferson-Pilot highlights one member of the SEC Good Works team for men’s basketball during each week of its men’s basketball telecasts.
