BATON ROUGE — LSU’s Lady Tigers basketball team climbed to No. 14 in both the Associated Press and the USA Today/ESPN/WBCA polls, it was release by both polls on Wednesday.
The Lady Tigers, winners of 12 straight games and owners of a 13-2 record, defeated No. 21 Auburn 70-59 on Sunday in the only contest of the week. LSU was previously ranked 17th in both polls.
The No. 14 ranking is the highest LSU has been since the second week of the season when the Lady Tigers were ranked No. 12 by the AP and 14th by the coaches.
LSU puts the streak and the ranking on the line Thursday when they host Florida at 7 p.m. in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
