BATON ROUGE — Sue Gunter, head coach of the 17th-ranked LSU Lady Tigers basketball team, is recovering from bronchitis and will miss the Southeastern Conference opener against Auburn on Sunday.
Gunter, in her 22nd season at LSU, is improving from the respiratory infection, but is not well enough to return to the sidelines on Sunday according to Dr. James Osterberger.
Osterberger also stated that Gunter is making great improvements, but will hopefully be able to return by Thursday’s game with Florida.
LSU takes on Auburn at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
