ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The Lady Tigers opened their spring season Friday in the Michigan Invitational. They competed in hidden dual matches against highly ranked Michigan in singles and Georgia Tech in doubles.
“I was pleased with the way some of our girls competed today,” Minnis said. “This situation is perfect because we get to come in and compete against teams like Michigan and Georgia Tech and it helps us a lot.”
The Lady Tigers’ Marina Chiarelli and Jessica Ferguson managed wins at the No. 3 and No. 4 spots.
Tomorrow the Lady Tigers face Eastern Michigan in singles.
“Tomorrow the timing will be better,” Minnis said. “I think that after today we will really be able to do good things against Eastern Michigan.
