ATHENS, Ga. — Following a six-week layoff, the LSU diving team will compete in their first meet of the New Year when they travel to the Georgia Diving Invitational this weekend at the Gabrielson Natatorium in Athens.
Eleven schools, including three Southeastern Conference foes, will begin competition Saturday morning at 10 a.m. with the preliminary sessions of the men’s 3-meter and women’s 1-meter. Following Saturday morning’s events, a finals session beginning at 5 p.m. will close day one of competition.
Participating schools include Auburn, Clemson, Drexel, Georgia, LSU, Louisville, Penn State, Purdue, Tennessee, UCLA and Virginia.
