BATON ROUGE — Seimone Augustus and Temeka Johnson, members of LSU’s Lady Tigers basketball team, will be honored prior to Monday’s game against Temple for their contributions to Team USA this past summer. The game begins at 7 p.m. in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
The first 1,500 fans at the game with receive a free 8×10 photo of Augustus and Johnson in their Team USA uniforms and their Gold Medals from the 2003 World Championship for Young Women. The duo will be available on the court after the game for autographs.
Augustus, a sophomore from Baton Rouge, was named the USA Female Athlete of the Year on Dec. 15 and will be award the trophy prior to the game along with a plaque from USA Basketball for participating on the Gold Medal team. Johnson, a New Orleans native, will also receive a plaque from USA Basketball prior to the game.
Their will also be chances for lucky fans to win Seimone Augustus bobble heads during the game.
