BATON ROUGE — The LSU Tiger Girls, who are featured at all LSU home men’s basketball games, will be conducting a dance clinic on Saturday, Dec. 20. The event is open to dancers who are currently in the 6th grade up through high school and will be held from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the University High School gymnasium.
The highlight, and culmination, of the event will be at halftime of the men’s basketball game that day against Southern Mississippi when the participants will perform a dance that will be learned at the clinic. The basketball game tips off at 3 p.m.
Registration for the event begins at 8 a.m. and space is limited. All participants will be divided into three groups: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Each group will have a technique class and will learn two routines.
The cost for the clinic is $35 per person and includes a Tiger Girl t-shirt. Participants are encouraged to bring a sack lunch to the clinic and wear black pants and dance shoes. For more information, contact the LSU Cheer Office at 225-578-1886.
