BATON ROUGE — LSU’s Lady Tigers basketball team moved up to No. 16 in the Associated Press poll and No. 18 in the USA Today/ESPN/WBCA poll, after defeating Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday.
The Lady Tigers, 5-2, following last night’s victory over Sam Houston State, slide up two spots in the AP poll and have 401 points. They also vaulted two spots in the coaches poll and have 225 points.
LSU, winners of four straight games, hosts the annual www.WOMENSCOLLEGEHOOPS.com Classic on Wednesday with Arkansas State and Richmond facing off in the opening game at 5 p.m. and the Lady Tigers squaring off with Kent State at approximately 7 p.m. in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
