BATON ROUGE — LSU soccer’s Chelsea Agar was named a College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Third-Team Academic All-American it was announced Wednesday.
A junior from of Courtenay, British Columbia, Agar maintains a perfect 4.0 grade point average in biochemistry. Agar’s academic honor is the last in a long list of classroom accomplishments as she was the recipient of LSU’s 2002 Academic Achievement Award and was also named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll that same year.
On the field, Agar was equally impressive in 2003. One of the Tigers top defenders, Agar played in all 20 of LSU’s games, starting 18 of those contests. Agar anchored a defense that recorded six shutouts during the season.
