BATON ROUGE — As expected, LSU remained No. 4 in the Bowl Championship Series standings, which were released on Monday by the National Football Foundation.
The Tigers, ranked No. 3 in the Associated Press Top 25 as well as the USA Today/ESPN Coaches poll, stands at 9-1 overall after last week’s 27-3 win over Alabama. The Tigers are No. 4 in the BCS standings for the second straight week.
Oklahoma continues to be ranked No. 1 in the BCS standings, while Ohio State moved past Southern Cal after its 16-13 overtime win over Purdue on Saturday. Southern Cal fell from No. 2 to No. 3 in the standings despite a 45-0 win over Arizona on Saturday.Texas is a spot behind LSU at No. 5, followed by Georgia at No. 6, Tennessee at No. 7, TCU at No. 8, Michigan at No. 9 and Washington State at No. 10.
Other SEC teams in the BCS top 25 include Florida at No. 13 and Ole Miss at No. 15.
The Tigers return to action on Saturday when they travel to Oxford, Miss., to face Ole Miss at 2:30 p.m. The game will be televised to a national audience by CBS.
