BATON ROUGE — LSU junior defender Chelsea Agar was named to the first-team CoSIDA Academic All-District VI soccer team, it was announced this week.
Agar, a native of Courtenay, British Columbia, maintains a 4.0 gpa in biochemistry. She was a member of the 2002 SEC Academic Honor Roll and was the recipient of the 2002 LSU Academic Achievement Award. Agar was named the CHAMPS Student-Athlete of the Month in Sept. 2003 and also won the 2001 LSU Strength and Conditioning Award.
“This is a great honor for Chelsea and our program in general,” said LSU head coach George Fotopoulos. “Chelsea is an outstanding student-athlete and this honor is very well-deserved.”
