PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. — The LSU women’s tennis team had a tough first day in the SEC Fall Coaches’ Classic at the Peachtree Tennis Club.
Three of the Lady Tigers’ top players lost in the first round. Danielle Wiggins of South Carolina beat Amanda Mang, 6-2, 6-2. Boglarska Berecz beat fourth-seeded Lady Tiger Rocio Fantilli, 6-3, 6-4. Camilia Caliari lost, 6-0, 6-4 to third-seeded Annie Mennes of Vanderbilt.
“We played some good players today,” LSU head coach Tony Minnis said. “We’ll pick it up tomorrow.”
